Can it really be the time for world war one?
It's depressing that I have to say goodbye to my wife and son
Yes it's time to go to war
It may be the last time that i shut this door
It's time for my harsh training
how do they expect me to make fire when it's raining
now it's time to enter the battle fields
as i look around no one at all yields
all of my fellow soldiers were on the ground dying

I looked to the right just as my general got shot in the head
then i looked back a second later, he was dead

I fired a ten shot round
and just then i hit the ground
It seemed as though everyone had been dead
all i saw on the ground was blood red
I jumped on the nearest machine gun

and watched all of our enemies on the run
One died here and one died there

all of these men our going to die, and this I swear
I had been gaining ground fast
until those bastards used their gas
I looked at all the bodies i shot
and I looked down at my chest and then I saw that's just what I got!
